The Lenox Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Lenox on Exeter Street, you immediately get that classic Boston boutique hotel vibe — it’s the kind of place that feels both sophisticated and approachable. This four-star gem sits right in the heart of Back Bay, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The lobby has this warm, intimate feel that’s refreshingly different from those massive chain hotels you’ll find elsewhere in Boston.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s great about staying here? You’re literally steps away from Newbury Street’s shopping and cafes, plus the Public Garden is just a quick stroll. I mean, couples absolutely love this spot — they’ve rated the location 9.8 out of 10, which honestly makes perfect sense when you’re wandering around this gorgeous neighborhood. The Back Bay area has that quintessential Boston charm with its Victorian brownstones and tree-lined streets, and The Lenox puts you right in the middle of it all.
The Room Experience
Here’s something that actually surprised me — the beds are incredibly comfortable, and I’m usually pretty picky about hotel mattresses. The room I stayed in had this cozy, residential feel rather than that sterile hotel look you sometimes get. The windows are decent-sized (important in Boston where some historic buildings have tiny ones), and the overall design strikes this nice balance between classic New England charm and modern comfort. You’ll sleep well here, trust me on that. Each room is thoughtfully appointed with quality furnishings and attention to detail that elevates your stay.
Practical Perks
One thing that’s genuinely helpful — they have private parking right at the hotel, which is honestly a godsend in this part of Boston where street parking can be a nightmare. The staff knows the neighborhood really well too, so they’re great for restaurant recommendations or directions to those tucked-away spots that tourists usually miss. It’s the kind of place where the front desk actually remembers your name after the first day. The concierge team goes above and beyond to ensure your visit is seamless and memorable.
Why Guests Love It
Look, The Lenox isn’t trying to be the flashiest hotel in town, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s got that perfect combination of prime location, genuine comfort, and personal service that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend (seriously, couples rave about this place) or just want a solid base for exploring Boston, you’ll appreciate how everything just works. The 9.0 rating speaks for itself, but what really sells me is how guests keep coming back — that tells you everything you need to know about a place. This boutique hotel delivers an authentic Boston experience that larger properties simply cannot match.
Hotels in Boston frame brick-lined neighborhoods, harbor walkways, and campuses humming with history.

Reviews of The Lenox
Leonora from Philippines (9/10)
I was very impressed with the room size. We were four persons in the family and the two Queen beds were perfect for our comfort considering we stayed for 8 nights. The two armchairs and desk with chair were awesome. The coffee (which was good) and tea in the morning at the Lobby was very convenient. The people at the Front Door are very helpful and friendly. When you call for anything, you receive your request right away! Furthermore, the room had windows on two sides. The one beside my bed I could look out to and watch the sky and the people on the street.
