Temple Place Suites Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Temple Place Suites feels like stepping into one of those classic Boston buildings that actually has some history behind it. The lobby isn’t trying too hard to impress — it’s got this understated, professional vibe that honestly works better than flashy marble everywhere. You can tell this three-star property knows exactly what it is and doesn’t pretend to be something else, which I actually appreciate. The overall aesthetic strikes a balance between maintaining historic charm and providing modern comfort for guests.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying in Boston‘s Theatre District — you’re literally in the middle of everything that matters. I mean, you can walk to Boston Common in about three minutes, and the Freedom Trail is right there when you step outside. The theatre crowd gives the area this energy in the evenings, but it’s not rowdy or anything. What surprised me most was how quiet my room stayed despite being on such a busy street. Temple Place itself is this narrow little road that feels almost European, tucked between the bigger avenues. The neighborhood truly offers the best of urban exploration with cultural attractions at your doorstep.
The Suites Experience
The suites here are what make this place work — you’re getting actual space to spread out, not just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. Each unit has a separate living area and a proper kitchenette with everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Whole Foods. The furnishings are a bit dated, sure, but everything’s clean and functional. I loved having a real dining table where I could work on my laptop or actually eat a meal without sitting on the bed. This layout makes extended stays particularly comfortable and practical.
Practical Details
The staff here seems to know the neighborhood inside and out — they gave me walking directions that avoided construction zones I never would have known about. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, you’re surrounded by incredible food options. Chinatown is a five-minute walk, and you’ve got everything from food trucks to fine dining within a couple blocks. The building is older, so don’t expect lightning-fast elevators, but the charm kind of makes up for it. Guest services remain attentive and genuinely helpful throughout your stay.
Why Guests Love It
What really sells this place is the location combined with the suite setup — couples especially seem to get it, and I can see why. You can walk to Faneuil Hall for tourist stuff, then come back and actually relax in a space that doesn’t feel cramped. The value proposition is solid too; you’re paying reasonable rates to stay in the heart of downtown Boston, which isn’t easy to find. It’s not going to wow you with amenities, but if you want a comfortable base for exploring the city without breaking the bank, Temple Place Suites delivers exactly what it promises. The property represents genuine value in a premium location.
Exploring Boston layers revolutionary landmarks, harbor breezes, and neighborhoods brimming with chowder houses.

Reviews of Temple Place Suites

The location, first of all, cannot be beat. If you need to be in the center of Boston and are on a budget. This place is perfect. It's not a luxury experience. But it's safe, quiet and the wifi worked without a problem. The a/c and heating worked, the shower worked great – good water pressure and temperature. If you like no-frills and amazing deals hotel travel, this is a great place to stay.

The location was good and the room was comfortable and had been cleaned prior to my arrival. The tv features were great, with streaming capabilities. The kitchenette , with fridge, sink, etc, was also a huge plus. The bunk bed was also cool and was bigger that I thought it would be. The laundry facilities on our floor is also a great feature.

This hotel is in the heart of the city, and yet the common is 2 mins walk away – perfect.
Shower was good and plenty of towels and sundries supplied.

Location is perfect, lots of shops and cafe around, nice parks and groceries. Close to the theaters. You can also cook inside and do laundry (shared). Host is nice and responsive.
