But even if you’re not a sports fan, this spot puts you within walking distance of the North End’s incredible Italian food scene and Faneuil Hall’s tourist chaos (in the best way possible).

Location & Neighborhood

The West End isn’t the prettiest part of Boston, I’ll be honest — it’s got that slightly industrial feel with all the highway overpasses nearby. But you know what? You’re close enough to everything that matters without paying Back Bay prices, and the parking situation here is actually manageable, which anyone who’s driven in Boston will tell you is basically a miracle. Couples seem to absolutely love it here — and I get why, since you can walk to the waterfront for romantic evening strolls or catch the T at North Station right next door.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had that boutique hotel vibe that Indigo does well — not trying too hard to be trendy, but definitely more personality than your average chain hotel. The windows are decent-sized, though the view depends entirely on which side of the building you’re on (ask for higher floors facing away from the highway if street noise bothers you). What I really appreciated was how they’ve designed the space to feel bigger than it actually is — clever use of mirrors and lighting that doesn’t feel gimmicky.

The restaurant downstairs serves solid American fare, though honestly, with the North End just a ten-minute walk away, you’d be crazy not to explore the neighborhood for dinner. Breakfast here is pretty standard hotel American breakfast — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but it gets the job done if you’re rushing off to meetings or sightseeing. The fitness center is small but functional, and the business center actually has decent WiFi speeds, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to get work done.

  Comfortable bed; lovely bathroom with rain shower. Nice restaurant/cafe onsite. Elevator to upper floors. Good location close to North Station and within easy walking distance to North End and to the historic buildings in the centre.

  The staff were incredibly helpful in all areas of the hotel (parking, help with luggage and valet on arrival, laundry service, check in and out). The common areas were beautiful and the location was excellent; lots of places to eat at within walking distance and even on site. The on site restaurant has a separate menu for breakfast which is tasty but you wouldn't know about it unless you ask as the only menu posted in the lobby (and the website) is the lunch and dinner one.
